EASTERN CANADIAN CHAMPIONSHIPS

TORONTO APRIL 20TH 2017

TEAM DOLPHINS HAD ONLY 5 PERSONS SWIMMING AT THESE CHAMPIONSHIPS.

Out of 70 plus teams Team Dolphins ranked 7th in Ontario and 14th overall.

The overall results showed Shannon Russell age 15  winning the 400 free style, 400 IM in outstanding performance times with Silver medals in the 100 Breast stroke - 200 Breast stroke , 200 IM, personal best time in the 200 free style taking Bronze medal

She set the Niagara Regional record for 15-16 girls in the 200 Breast stroke.  3 Club records long course with Team Dolphins

Joanne Chiarotto age 16 swam in the finals of the 50 free style and 100 free style and qualifying with Senior standards in both events.

Kristina Steins  age 19 just our of Hospital after 4 weeks of no swimming and in her first week back swam in the finals of the 50 Backs stroke later this month her and her team mates will be competing in Banja  Luka Bosnia at the end of May.

Michael Wang  age 14 continues to improve his swimming times competing at this level for the first time.

Team Dolphins will be taking 9 swimmers to compete in Bosnia later this month for International experience.
